Most citizens fear surveillance, yet they happily accept a God or entities that watch their every move, why?
We fear surveillance in this Internet age, and ending up on locker room webcams. And yet, many believe in deities God gods angels spirits who supposedly watch our every move, even when we're on the loo and in the bath. It would go against the nature of any omnipotent being to close His eyes for modesty, but is there any way we can believe in God's presence and keep Him out of the privy? Most people keep precious and religious objects out of the loo. Perhaps I could say " In fox holes nobody likes to be an atheist, but on the toilet I hope to be an atheist" , without some other wordly being watching my call of nature. In Deuteronomy 23 12 14 God commands that " what comes from thee" must be buried in sand. Could we market sand box toilets to the ultra fundamentalist literalists? The fact that God pronounced on it shows that it is NOT a private matter for the believers, just as little as sexuality.

Store surveillance coverage?
The other day, I wanted to check out a couple purchases at a sewing & craft store. Had to flag down a cashier and get her to the cash register, to pay.The cashier said that she was not allowed to stand at the register when they had no customers. Had to get on the floor and watch the merchandise. We discussed the fact that there are few clerks, lots of hidden corners. Lots of small packages of things. Way easy to slide something into a purse or pocket and walk. I saw the surveillances bubbles in the ceiling, said something about being watched that way. The clerk looked this way, looked that way, and whispered to me that the bubbles are empty. No cameras, just a decoy.That clerk doesn't know me. Why do you suppose she told me that there really isn't any camera surveillance? It didn't matter to me whether there was a camera or not, as I don't steal anyway.If she confided this to you, would you report her to the store manager? I didn't. Hey, niceguys...... I retired from surveillance, and am well aware that lots of times these bubbles are decoys. But in lots of cases, they really do have cameras. You can't tell the difference by looking up at the ceiling.To don't know muchI agree. The cameras I worked with could see the dirt under someone's nails.
