Question: How do teachers look at students personal information?

How do teachers look at students personal information. Like they could tell if students have myspaces, facebook, etc. I heard about this and I do not think that this is acceptable. Anyways, how do they look at students personal information?

Tearchers shouldn't look at students personal information. That is why it is called Personal Information!!!

Often kids have public settings on Myspace. ( which is stupid ) it can be made private and those people that they know personally should be on the "friends " list. Facebook is set to private unless you add someone as a friend. Hate to say it, but it is the responsibility of the person to make their site private if they don't want others looking around!

You don't mean how do they, you mean do they? Teachers have access to a student's file and probably have their own student files which contain personal information. But a teacher wouldn't look at a student's facebook or myspace page unless a student directed the teacher to look at it for a school related reason or they came upon it by accident (searching for something else). Otherwise it wouldn't make sense.
