Question: Why are people so concerned about giving personal information...?

...such as address, birth date, phone number, nationality, and so on? There are so many ways such information could be obtained... just think how much your friends, teachers, coworkers, etc know about you already. Why do all those forms require a privacy clause, why are people so scared? Nooo. I mean that kind of info can be obtained very easily otherwise!

How about scared that someone who obtains that information gets ID in my name, credit cards in my name, gets arrested in my name. The list goes on and on, and it's all happened in the past, is happening right now, and will continue to happen. But these privacy clauses help to keep it at a minimal.
