Would you join a Christians group if they asked you for personal information.?
I was just looking into joining an on line christian group and they sent me an e mail asking for my correct name, DOB, postal mailing address and telephone number. If I don't give this information, I am not allowed to join. Would you give out this information on the Internet?Comments please.

UWINK bistro asks for personal information before you can start ordering? Is this horrassment?
There is a new place in the LA,CA area called UWINK bistro. This is a causal enterntainment restuarant that caters to families. Whats different is that you sit at a table and each person uses a touchscreen computer to place their orders. The food is borught out by porters. On the touchscreen computers you can go online or play games. Here is the sneeky part. Before you can place an order or get started you must swipe either a drivers license or a credit debit card. At the end of the meal you can pay cash if you prefer. If you are a kid or teenager and dining without a parent or adult and don't have a license or credit card a restuarent employee will still let you order be they must take a picture of and fingerprint the kids. If you are an adult and don't have your drivers license with you or credit debit card with you the restuarant requires fingerprinting and a picture of you.I think this is a rediculus policy.In this country we have a right to safegard our personal information and not be horrassed. Me and my friend were going to dine at this restuarant last night but left because we were uncomfortable about having to swipe our drivers licences through some strange computer system. Me and my friend also feel uncomfortable about having to share out credit card information when paying cash. The staff offered to fingerprint us and take our pictures instead. We didn't feel comfortable. The manager said that he takes pictues and fingerpirnts teenage kids all the time who are alone and don't have credit cards or drivers licenses.Is this an invasion of privacy? We would never swipe our credit cards or drivers licenses just to eat at a restuarant. We were paying cash anyway. Its not a restuarants bussiness to force you to swipe a credit card or license.The restuarant claims that they do not sell your info which I refuse to believe.This is very shady and rediculus. If you sit down at a table with the ordering computer you can't place an order without swiping a drivers license or a credit debit card. If you are paying cash you still have to swipe one of these cards unless you don't have a drivers licenese or a credit card. If you don't have either of the above thats when the fingerprinting and picture takes place.Even thoug I have a drivers license and two credit cards I still would refuse to swipe either of them before placing an order. I feel that I have a right to privacy. A restuarant shouldn't force you to swipe your drivers license or credit card befor you can place an order. There are so many other restuarants out there that I don't need to deal with this. I'm worried that this place could become the first of many places that will start this policy. Lets hope not.
Is it fair to terminate someone's employment or refuse to hire them based on personal information on websites?
Do you think it's right or wrong to fire someone or deny them employment based on the information gathered on personal websites myspace, face book, etc ? I personally feel that if the person keeps things strictly professional during work hours then it's not any one's right to peep into their personal websites.
