How do I avoid giving out my personal information without being rude?
I had suffered some personal issues and was a recluse for a few months while I got therapy. I will now be re united with friends for an event and am scared of questions they may ask because I don't want to share anything with them. How can I dodge their questions without being rude? I don't even want to tell them I am in therapy or hint that I have issues because it's too sensitive and I'm scared I'll regret if I end up telling more than I am ready to so I'd rather not say anything at this time to anyone especially since some people who I don't like will be there too.
If someone fills in on their personal information on facebook except 'interested in' are they gay/lesbian?
ok first of all, i am NOT stereotyping, i hate stereotypes myself. but what do you think if you see someone's profile with all the info filled out except interested in sexuality? they've even put joke answers for religious and political beliefs. i seriously suspect them but i don't know. what do you think? i personally think it's a bit suspicious. i can understand someone not filling in ANY info because they forget can't be bothered or ALL or even just put the basics and miss out the more obscure religious political beliefs, but why fill out everything but that? i may have it wrong idk.wow what a load of rude and unhelpful comments thanks a lot i think you would care if you wanted to know if the person you love is gay or not. if you don't care, don't answer the question.

Why do people feel the need to disclose too much personal information to people they don't know?
Particularly information regarding sex. A few minutes ago I was on the elevator with a woman I don't even know. We both greeted one another and then she started talking about the sex she had with her boyfriend yesterday. But this is just one of many cases. I have coworkers I don't even know very well who will just start blatantly talking about what they like and don't like in bed.

i would that you would please pray that the personal information and items stolen from me, off of my patio would be rendered useless to the thief or thieves, yuma arizona, 15th st. between 8th 9th ave, i sure wish God would make the thief miserable, or thieves miserable, so miseable as to have to confess, pray that they do not come back, cause i have to go away for along time to visit my friends, in another country, i should not have bought a house here in Yuma Az please pray for me, thank you amen and amen, pray for the salvation of the thief. ??? as God would will ,thank you for those who pray amen and amen

Does sharing personal information too soon before establishing mutual trust get you disrespected, or be taken for a fool? When should you start talking about yourself, or your behaviors?
Why do people put their personal information and pictures on the internet (facebook idiots)?
I didn't know what facebook was until yesterday, yes I had heard about it, but I never really bothered to ask or research what it was. So, I'm legitimately curious what is the point in putting up your real name and real photos on facebook? I can just google " Your first name here, Your last name here" and your facebook page will come up.Even if your profile is set to private, everyone can at least see you have a profile, a profile picture, and who your friends are, etc...
What personal information should I keep in a party?
I joined a party in a church, left my email to an old person just for friendship. Soon I got the email from him her,saying " hi, do you remember me?" . I don't know what it means.In the party I also talked about my previous city, country of origin, my major in the college and I am now resident of Canada, and the brief working history. I am tired of being harassed by certain people. They are able to obtain all sorts of personal information by searching online search engines such as GOOGLE and YAHOO. what can i do to get my personal sh t off the internet??? PLEASE help also, this is NOT info that I put on the net myself... my work info, telephone number, my py and all sorts of stuff I did not ask for any of this to be on the internet...as I am a very private person. Why does my Mom feel compelled to share personal information?
Ever since I was young around 10 , my Mom has freely shared personal information her own and mine with complete strangers and close friends. Digestive troubles, skin problems, emotional issues, you name it. I can remember her asking a doctor, while I was in the room, if the broken blood vessels on my legs were due to my " being low voice, deep sigh so overweight" . I was thirteen at the time and maybe 80 lbs at 4'10" . Last month, when we were on a family vacation, we were sitting with another family in the lobby, and she casually mentioned, in all of two minutes, that both of us had had terrible digestive problems during the trip, that I used to have terrible acne pointing on a scar on the underside of my chin as illustration , and that her sister my aunt who was not present was a bipolar idiot. I was mortified, not just for the disclosure of my evening's activities, but also for her. Any experience with this, and less hopefully , anything that could be done.But I'm 28, and I've lived on my own for 10 years.
