Should i report fraud to the police?
I recently met this man in the street who said he could make me a model. Out of my mind was I, i gave him my contact number. After reading the newspaper, i'm afraid he's a fraud who just wants to rape me. He contacts me with a private number as well as he didn't give me a card. He's still calling me after i've told him to leave me alone. Should i report him to the police? But i have no details of him properly and i've learnt my lesson. Please help
If it was proved that jesus was a fraud,illusionist.. Would you still believe in God,Christianity?
I wouldn't believe even if jesus got into my head, and shot lasers out of his eyes
How does SS go about investigating claims of fraud?
Let's say that someone is reported for fraud and SS?How does social security go about investigating this?
Spiritually Speaking, Why are people willing to accept some evidence, but dismiss other as fraud?
youtube.com watch?v EWwzFwUOxAReincarnation evidence. Give me ONE good reason we should dismiss it.No what if's, no maybe's. Give me a definite answer." You should dismiss it because it's weird. Also the weird evidence you've collected you might consider dismissing that too. Then perhaps consider getting back in school. It wouldn't hurt." Nice red herring1 logical fallacy, and a bunch of other comments that have nothing to do with my question.
Claims of Joseph Smith being convicted of fraud, evidence for against?
I know I'm going to get a lot of crap from anti mormons, for those unwilling to put forth a legitimate argument or evidence, or just filled with such animosity to only blindly criticize, your timeless uselessness will be ignored. Thanks. For everyone else I had a well educated and thoughtful friend of mine put forth a claim that Joseph Smith had been convicted of fraud before the formation of the LDS church for reasons unrelated to the formation of the church or the authorship translation of the Book of Mormon. I've yet to locate any reasonable evidence distinct for the obviously biased and unreferenced plethora of anti mormon literature. Can anyone direct me to a well documented, preferably fairly unbiased, source of evidence for or against this claim?Yahoo answers is not really for people who want to do the research themselves, its for lazy people who don't want to spend the time doing the research or for people who want others opinions. I'm in the former category, yes I'm doing SOME " research" , but it's a lot easier if someone who already knows where to find the info could just link me too it. This is the wonderful thing the internet has done with social networking.I have found transcripts with photos of the alleged indictment and find their authenticy probable. This is what I was looking for, thanks for all your help. Though the credibility of the source is easily questionable, the admittance of possible authenticy from apologists causes it to be sufficient for me. While this proves my friends claim fairly accurate, I do not read any confession of being guilty of fraud, his confession of the events are do not seem to me to be any more spectacular than other proclaimed events in the formation of the church true or not. Here is one of the sources I read.utlm.org onlinebooks changech4.htmOf course however I would enjoy any thoughtful comments on the matter. Thanks again.
How many of these TV evangelists are fraud?
I was looking at Peter Poppof and his so called " FREE MIRACLE WATER" being advertised on his show. This looked like a scam from the start. I checked this guy out on the net. Yep, he's a fraud alright. I think what these phony prophets are doing is disgusting how they take advantage of these people in to really believing they are performing miracles. How did they even get into the ministry business being fake and all? They got ministries across the nation. I know Peter Poppof does. I used to look at the TV evangelists on TV and watch them perform their SCAMS Ooops I mean miracles laying hands on folks and all that pain and suffering is gone just like that. What's up with that I wonder? What is the real trick behind the folks in the audience being supposedly healed when these Pastors lay hands on them? Then there is another guy on TV who is a TV evangelist who like Peter Poppoff offer something free that will work miracles called a prayer cloth. All you have to do is pick up the phone and call to get it. At least thats what they tell these brainwashed people that getting their free stuff will work God's miracles. Is there anyone of these TV ministries real? The ones I feel are fake are the ones that do all that hand laying crap and urging people to BUY Ooops again I mean get their FREE miracle stuff. Yeah right.
There's some idiot called Neal who first accused me of being a fraud, should I forgive him or ignore him?
While he did accuse me of pretending to be myself on an Amazon discussion, he did then apologise and say he believed me to be genuine. He's emailed me a couple of times but I have ignored him, should I reply?
Mormons, why do you adhere to an institution that used to be racist until recently and is based on a fraud?
Was this a mistake or a case of fraud?
Archaeoraptor is the name assigned in 1999 to a fossil from China in an article published in National Geographic magazine. The magazine claimed that the fossil was a " missing link" between birds and terrestrial theropod dinosaurs. It led to a scandal when it was proven to be a forgery.Archaeoraptor was constructed from rearranged pieces of real fossils from different species. The head and upper body actually belong to a specimen of the primitive fossil bird Yanornis. The tail belongs to a small winged dromaeosaur, Microraptor. The legs and feet belong to an as yet unknown animal. The scandal brought attention to illegal fossil deals conducted in China. It also highlighted the need for close scientific scrutiny of purported " missing links" ...WikipediaThanks Matt, It was a long read, but well worth it.

Whether this man is a fraud?
during a visit to south east asia, we met a selfclaimed holyman who told he was mystical and could cure ailments too. my wife was suffering from a particular ailment and he promised to cure her. we stayed with him for a ten days time and everyday early morning he asked my wife to bathe and come alone wet to the room where he uttered something for about an hour & performed some occult things too. He applied something on her full body without clothes on her and ran his hands on her body fully. but even after some years she is still having this ailment. is this mystic men truely powerfull or had cheated us on that. Luckily we didnt pay him except for the boarding & lodging. but just interested to know if this ailment curing is false or whether this man is a fraud?
