Question: Borrow money or go more in debt?
(Posted by: Joel H on 2010-01-30 13:23:44)
I need to pay rent tomorrow or I will get evicted in 30 days. I have no bank account $, no savings, no job or job prospects, already in student loan and got several credit card bills, other bills. And yes I'm using internet at the libary. And yes I'm really depressed. And no I'm not very smart. My 3 options are: - raise credit card limit, I got these checks in the mail that I think I can put on my credit card. Must find out first. - ask relative for money. Confess I've been lying for months about being unemployed. - ask relative if I can live with them. (People hate living with me so this options sucks for everyone.) What do you think? |

Instead of asking relative if you can live with them, get a roommate or a friend to live with you |

WOW! This sucks, my advice is to move in with someone and make that person/ family happy to have you there by going out of your way to do extra things for them and be as little trouble/ extra work as possible. You should offer to pay something for them allowing you to live there even if it'd $50.00 a month. This shows that you want to be responsible. Be very diligent about looking for work and saving as much money as you can without mooching from them. use the time you are living with this person/ family as a way to get back on your feet and get your life together. Some things that would help them out: 1) Offer to run errands that they do not have time for 2) Do all the chores no one likes to do (Bathroom, dishes, trash) 3) If you live in a snowy region, shovel Do things that will make their lives easier and most important .... PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF :-) |

It is time to ask God to help you out and then you must do the foot work of being honest with your family and friends. Tell them the truth. Then go to your local Churches and see when they have their job networking meetings - they will help you out. You must humble yourself and ask for help from God and your family. Time to grow up and become honest. |
