Question: Would being in debt to a bank be considered a type of slavery?

If the bank possessed your home, made you give all your income directly to the bank and allowed you only a minimum amount of food to survive then you would be a slave to the bank. You might be right, this sounds like the life of a person with a 100% mortgage.

Slavery ,NO. Indebted servitude ,yes. Slaves weren't asked they were taken by force. You asked the bank to take control of your finances,
