Student loan debts and tax returns?
Okay, so i've got some student loans that are in default, and i am doing the rehabilitation program for them right now, and i get a letter today from the treasury saying that my federal return was funneled to the collection agency to help pay off the loan i thought that wince i am rehabilitating them right now, that they couldn't do that does anyone know what the criteria for decisions like this are? and do they do this with all student loan debts, or only ones in bad standing?

Clearly, those who did are not copping to it and won't feel the pain until the bill comes in January.I too make a point of keeping it conservative and keeping my kids expectations reasonable.

I need to pay rent tomorrow or I will get evicted in 30 days. I have no bank account $, no savings, no job or job prospects, already in student loan and got several credit card bills, other bills. And yes I'm using internet at the libary. And yes I'm really depressed. And no I'm not very smart.My 3 options are raise credit card limit, I got these checks in the mail that I think I can put on my credit card. Must find out first. ask relative for money. Confess I've been lying for months about being unemployed. ask relative if I can live with them. People hate living with me so this options sucks for everyone. What do you think?
Is it possible to ever be completely debt free?
Paying cash for everything is not possible for most major purchases.I can't see buying a house with cash. By the time I saved up enough to buy it, I'd be dead.
What Do you think would happen if the US put just as much money toward the national debt as we have to Haiti?
I mean the US is trillions of dollars of dept and everytime some third world country or some 2nd rate nation comes to us with their hand out we just write the check. Why can't we just be like. " help your fellow American donate a dollar to pay the national debt." I mean wtf. screw all these other beggin azz countries we should be helping our own.
