Some mushrooms that grow in Australia contain a drug called psilocybin. These are commonly called 'magic mushrooms', and they can alter the senses and perceptions of the person who eats them. Psilocybin is a hallucinogen. Leo, legally: Using, keeping, selling or giving hallucinogens to someone else is illegal. If you are caught you could get penalties starting from a $2 200 fine and/ or two years in jail to a $550 000 fine and/ or jail for life. Driving while affected by hallucinogens is not only illegal, it is very dangerous. A criminal record is what you get once you have been charged with a criminal offence and received a penalty through our legal system. It is a permanent record of ones criminal history and can have a negative effect on applications for many different careers and most government positions. It follows you your entire life! I'm not sure about the police being able to charge you simply from a confession and NO evidence. It might be best NOT to admit to any illegal activities. Yes, magic mushrooms can be detected in your blood stream. While most standard drug tests don't look for magic mushrooms, this substance can be detected in your blood or urine for seven days after ingesting them. health.nsw.gov.au/ public-health/ dpb/ publications/ hallucinogens.html cyh.com/ HealthTopics/ HealthTopicDetails.aspx?p= 240 &np= 158 &id= 2036 thegooddrugsguide.com/ mushrooms/ index.htm |
