Question: Can a person with a criminal record receive the order of canada?

I refer, of course, to the strong possibility that an abortionist will be receiving Canada's highest honour. Furthermore, should this award be given, considering it is such a divisive issue in CANADA? A good many Canadians are Muslim, Christian or Jewish. The killing of the unborn (or very nearly born as is permitted in Canada) is patently wrong in the precepts of these belief systems.

Unless Canada is a church of some sort, no, it would not be wrong for him to get this award. This coming from a Catholic.
